API Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer - API - (Core backend + search).

Key Responsibilities

• Author the API specification and define resources, filters, and search semantics
• Build the registry service and indexer, integrating embedding models
• Define governance CI contracts and ensure performance and developer experience

Required Qualifications

• Strong backend experience in TypeScript/Node or Python (FastAPI) with OpenAPI-first design
• Experience with vector search foundations, including embeddings and kNN retrieval
• Knowledge of designing ingestion/indexing pipelines and schema governance
• Familiarity with OAuth2/OIDC integration and security best practices
• Ability to mentor, conduct code reviews, and drive quality standards
