App Development Architect

Job Summary

Leading a critical technical migration initiative, the contract App Development Architect (.NET) will architect the transition of legacy business logic from Oracle stored procedures into modern .NET 8 microservices while working remotely with a dedicated team of backend engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy and execution of extracting business logic from Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures and re-architecting it into .NET 8 microservices
• Design and oversee deployment architecture within a cloud environment, primarily leveraging AWS EKS and AWS Service Mesh
• Provide mentorship and technical direction for a team of backend engineers, ensuring best practices in code and design

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with 5+ years in core architecture
• Expert-level proficiency in .NET 8, C#, and building Web APIs/microservices
• Deep hands-on experience with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, including dismantling complex legacy stored procedures
• Strong experience with AWS, particularly AWS EKS and AWS Service Mesh
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
