Job Summary
A company is looking for an Appeals Coordinator: Peer to Peer.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct Peer to Peer calls with payers and medical directors
- Document information from payer calls and update account status in multiple databases
- Support various departmental functions including case entry and appeals support
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Call center experience preferred
- Understanding of denials processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Managed Care is a plus
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with accurate keyboard skills (minimum 30 wpm)
- Prior experience accessing hospital EMRs and payer portals preferred
