Job Summary

A company is looking for an Appeals Coordinator: Peer to Peer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and manage Peer to Peer calls with medical directors and payers
  • Document information from payer calls in the proprietary system and update account status in multiple databases
  • Provide support for case entry, Peer to Peer, and appeals functions within the department
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Call center experience preferred
  • Understanding of denials processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Managed Care product lines is a plus
  • Prior experience with hospital EMRs and Payer Portals preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with accurate keyboard skills (minimum 30 wpm typing speed)
