Appeals Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Appeals Representative to manage payment denials and process appeals.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and review payment denials and process claims within assigned time frames
• Utilize research tools to expedite resolution of carrier issues and assemble documentation for appeals
• Contact carriers regarding denied claims and inform management of new procedures impacting claims

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous medical billing experience preferred, focusing on denial research and appeal processing
• Knowledge of Physician Billing Policies and Procedures across multiple states
• Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and GE Centricity Business/ETM
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently, including potential overtime
