Job Summary

A company is looking for an Appeals Specialist I (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Analyze appeals and grievance correspondence and determine next steps for processing
Utilize communication skills to assist in responses to appeals and grievances while maintaining confidentiality
Support unit projects and provide feedback for continuous improvement of workflows and processes

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
3 years of experience in managed care, health care, or insurance payor environment
Preferred: College Degree
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with CareFirst system or related fields is a plus
