Job Summary

A company is looking for an Appeals Specialist I (Remote).

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze appeals and grievance correspondence and determine next steps for processing
  • Utilize communication skills to assist in responses to appeals and grievances while maintaining confidentiality
  • Support unit projects and provide feedback for continuous improvement of workflows and processes
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in managed care, health care, or insurance payor environment
  • Preferred: College Degree
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with CareFirst system or related fields is a plus
