Job Summary
A company is looking for an Appeals Specialist I (Remote).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze appeals and grievance correspondence and determine next steps for processing
- Utilize communication skills to assist in responses to appeals and grievances while maintaining confidentiality
- Support unit projects and provide feedback for continuous improvement of workflows and processes
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in managed care, health care, or insurance payor environment
- Preferred: College Degree
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with CareFirst system or related fields is a plus
