Job Summary
A company is looking for an Appeals Specialist (Part B South).
Key Responsibilities
- Researches and responds to inquiries from providers, suppliers, and beneficiaries regarding the appeals process
- Interprets requests and determines appropriate responses to resolve issues
- Conducts research on federal regulations and Medicare/Medicaid policies to support decision-making
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three years of general office experience, with education in administration or business potentially substituting for experience
- One year of Medicare Qualified Independent Contractor appeals experience or professional business writing experience in related fields
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Medicare Part B experience is preferred
