Application Administrator

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Application Administrator will manage production environments, providing first-level technical support, monitoring application performance, and coordinating incident responses during specified hours from 4 PM to 12 AM EST.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for SS&C hosted applications to ensure uptime and meet service level objectives
• Monitor application availability and performance, troubleshooting infrastructure, application, database, and network-related issues
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis efforts to restore operations and prevent future occurrences

Required qualifications

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Excellent understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of scripting technologies and/or willingness to learn
• Experience with SFTP server configuration and troubleshooting
• Some professional experience or prior internship in a technical support role
