Application Architect
Job Summary
To support application modernization efforts, the full-time remote Application Architect will lead a team in developing and hosting applications on the Azure PaaS platform, focusing on migration and optimization strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage application hosting and configuration on Azure PaaS services, ensuring performance assessment pre and post-migration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud adoption with best practices and design Azure target state solution architecture
- Guide and mentor a team of developers, overseeing the technical aspects of application modernization and migration projects
Required qualifications
- 13+ years of development and application modernization experience
- Proficient in Azure PaaS services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Kubernetes
- Experience in leading teams of 5 or more members
- Strong understanding of application architecture, dependencies, and migration scenarios
- Hands-on experience with web application development in languages such as .Net, Java, Angular, React, or Python
