Application Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Application Architect will translate business requirements into technical design specifications, collaborate with development teams to implement solutions, and ensure adherence to department standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document, program, and support Agency Compensation applications for processing commission calculations and payments
• Evaluate technical feasibility of proposed solutions and prepare project proposals to meet business needs
• Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead or direct the work of other developers/projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years of programming and analysis or IT experience
• Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL in a z/OS environment
• Experience in project life cycle phases including analysis, design, programming, and implementation
• Participation in major system projects with proficiency in at least one development discipline/platform
