Application Architect III

Job Summary

Providing technical leadership and architectural oversight for Customer Billing Systems projects, the part-time contract Application Architect III will lead design efforts, guide the software development lifecycle, and serve as the technical interface among development teams, vendors, and project management, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead application architecture and technical design efforts for CSS initiatives
• Provide hands-on technical guidance throughout the SDLC from design to implementation
• Identify application-level risks and support mitigation planning to ensure solution quality and performance

Required qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience with Customer Billing Systems, specifically CSS (Customer/1)
• 8+ years working in a formal SDLC environment
• Experience in utility or regulated environments
• Strong application architecture and systems integration experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent professional experience
