Job Summary

To drive innovation and transformation, the full-time remote Application Consultant will maintain and enhance a disaster recovery portal's codebase, focusing on backend development with Python/FastAPI and frontend integration using React, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the FastAPI backend and React frontend, ensuring secure and reliable operations
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend integrations, focusing on data persistence and security best practices
• Document implementation decisions and operational assumptions to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer within the team

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in production web applications
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating with internal and external systems
• Working knowledge of React and TypeScript for frontend development
• Practical understanding of security principles related to authentication, session handling, and data protection
