Application Developer
Job Summary
Owning features end to end, the mid-level Remote Application Developer will work flexibly full-time, part-time, or contract on a small engineering team to build a consumer-facing web application from ambiguous requirements to production code.
Key responsibilities
- Take features from requirements to shipped, tested, production code with minimal supervision
- Make technical decisions and address trade-offs while collaborating with senior engineers
- Review teammates' code and provide constructive feedback to help junior developers grow
Required qualifications
- 2-4+ years of experience building and shipping web applications
- Proficiency in a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular) and a backend language (Python, Ruby, Node)
- Ability to navigate and extend an existing codebase independently
- Strong understanding of version control (Git), REST APIs, relational databases, and testing
- Effective asynchronous communication skills regarding PR descriptions and blockers
