Application Development Architect

Job Summary

Leading the design and architecture of scalable applications, the remote Application Development Architect will define technical roadmaps, mentor development teams, and drive innovation primarily using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container orchestration technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of robust applications, establishing technical standards and best practices
• Oversee the deployment of containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for high availability
• Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs and implementation strategies

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with 3-5 years in an Application Architect or similar role
• Deep experience with Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Proven track record of designing cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong understanding of Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Serverless applications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
