Application Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a remote technology team, the full-time Application Engineer will enhance and support the Shopify storefront, develop internal apps, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless e-commerce experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Shopify theme using Liquid templating for design changes and features
• Develop internal Shopify apps with Node.js and Remix, focusing on promotions and checkout customizations
• Collaborate with teams to implement updates and troubleshoot bugs in the Shopify storefront and POS integrations

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience, including 1 year of Shopify development
• Strong familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem, including Liquid and Storefront API
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in React and Node.js
• Solid understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs
• Eagerness to leverage AI-powered coding tools to enhance development efficiency
