Application Engineer, Data Center

Job Summary

To support a growing Technical Programs team, the full-time Application Engineer, Data Center will design and develop custom API connectors and integration solutions for the Karman platform, working remotely with customer operations to translate requirements into actionable designs.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customer data center operations and engineering teams to assess software environments and lead integration discussions
• Design, develop, and validate custom API connectors between Karman and customer-specific data center software systems
• Conduct performance testing and debug integration issues, ensuring successful software installation across customer environments

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of server software engineering experience with hands-on work in data center environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and experience with Kubernetes, containers, and virtual machines
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement API integrations, including REST APIs and other common patterns
• Experience writing test frameworks and conducting performance testing, with proficiency in Python or Rust
