Application Lifecycle Automation Developer

Job Summary

To support the IRS Enterprise API Gateway Modernization and Operations effort, the full-time remote Application Lifecycle Automation Developer will design and maintain automated API onboarding workflows, develop configuration-as-code artifacts, and implement governance checks to enhance API lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains automated API onboarding workflows integrated into approved CI/CD pipelines
• Builds and maintains configuration-as-code artifacts supporting API lifecycle management
• Implements automated governance and Zero Trust validation checks within onboarding/migration pipelines

Required qualifications

• 7 years of experience in similar roles, focusing on EAG/API-gateway automation workflows
• Experience with developer portal integrations and reusable API lifecycle capabilities in Government-approved CI/CD environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• MBI certification is preferred
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required, with the ability to obtain IRS Minimum Background Investigation security clearance
