Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Partnering with engineering and product teams in a remote full-time capacity, the Application Security Engineer will ensure security is integrated into product features from the design phase, conduct threat modeling, perform code reviews, and participate in incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify security risks early in the design process
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for new products and features
• Conduct security-focused code reviews and assist engineers in addressing vulnerabilities

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in application security, product security, or a software engineering role with security responsibilities
• Strong understanding of common vulnerability classes and prevention techniques
• Experience with threat modeling and secure design reviews
• Hands-on incident response experience
• Proficiency in reading and writing code (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go)
