Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Application Security Engineer in the Mid-Atlantic region (Remote in VA, MD, PA, NC, DE, NJ, or DC).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and troubleshoot Snyk's Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tool
• Integrate security practices into Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Conduct threat modeling and ensure secure coding practices throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of security engineering experience in the Information Security industry
• Experience with software engineering and modern application architectures
• Strong scripting and automation experience using one or more programming languages
• Solid working knowledge of application security fundamentals, including the OWASP Top 10
