Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Application Security Engineer to bridge development and security teams while ensuring robust application defenses throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Dev & Ops teams to guide secure coding practices and participate in code reviews
• Conduct security reviews and threat modeling to analyze application architecture and drive risk identification
• Integrate and manage security tools within CI/CD pipelines for automated detection and remediation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Proficient in programming languages relevant to web and mobile applications
• Strong understanding of web architectures, particularly microservices
• Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and security testing frameworks
• Familiarity with security tools such as ZAP and Burp
• Experience with cloud-native environments or Kubernetes is a plus
