Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Application Security Engineer to lead and enhance their application security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the application security strategy for the product portfolio
• Act as an internal expert, providing guidance and influencing security initiatives across the organization
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and mentor other engineers in application security best practices

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security or information security
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
• Comprehensive knowledge of security principles and technologies, including encryption and authentication
• Experience with security testing tools and cloud platform security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong project management skills and experience in mentoring team members
