Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Security Engineer, Application Security.

Key Responsibilities

• Build security into the AI platform through threat modeling, secure architecture design, and integrating security considerations into product decisions
• Own and evolve the application security program, including SAST/DAST scanning, security code reviews, and automation to catch vulnerabilities
• Partner with engineering teams to establish secure coding standards and design security features for customer environments

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in application security engineering with a focus on large-scale production systems
• Understanding of developer workflows and experience in fast-growing startups or high-growth environments
• Technical expertise in at least two programming languages (Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Knowledge of security tools and methodologies, including SAST/DAST solutions and DevSecOps practices
• A builder's mindset focused on automation and scaling security without creating bottlenecks
