Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Application Security Engineer to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security code reviews, threat modeling, and architecture reviews as part of the secure SDLC
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate secure design and coding standards
• Lead application security testing and coordinate external penetration testing of production environments

Required Qualifications

• 3 - 7 years of experience in application security, secure development, or penetration testing
• Experience with application testing or security testing tools (SAST, DAST, IAST)
• Certifications such as Security+, GSEC, GSSP, or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle and application security controls
