Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Application Security Engineer, a full-time remote position requiring over 5 years of experience, responsible for embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle, conducting threat modeling, and managing vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for applications and services
• Perform manual code reviews and collaborate with engineering teams on securing components
• Drive vulnerability management workflows and lead red-team exercises against internal applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Five or more years of application security or security engineering experience
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
• Hands-on experience performing code review in at least two major programming languages
• Deep familiarity with SAST, DAST, and CI/CD-integrated security tooling
