Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Application Security Engineer to work full-time remotely, who will embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, conduct threat modeling, perform code reviews, and enhance application security practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for applications and services
• Perform manual code reviews and collaborate with engineering teams on securing critical components
• Drive vulnerability management workflows and implement runtime protections for applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Five or more years of application security or security engineering experience
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and modern exploit patterns
• Hands-on experience performing code reviews in at least two major programming languages
• Deep familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, and CI/CD-integrated security tooling
