Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Application Security Engineer, the ideal candidate will embed security throughout the software development lifecycle, conduct threat modeling, perform manual code reviews, and manage vulnerability workflows while collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for new and existing applications
• Perform manual code reviews and secure design consultations with engineering teams
• Drive vulnerability management workflows, including triage and prioritization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Five or more years of application security or security engineering experience
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
• Hands-on experience performing code reviews across at least two major programming languages
• Deep familiarity with SAST, DAST, and CI/CD-integrated security tooling
