Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Application Security Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for embedding security throughout the software development lifecycle, conducting threat modeling, and partnering with engineering teams to design secure systems while managing vulnerabilities across applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for new and existing applications
• Perform manual code reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to harden critical components
• Drive vulnerability management workflows and implement runtime protections for applications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Five or more years of application security or security engineering experience
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
• Hands-on experience performing code reviews across at least two major programming languages
• Deep familiarity with SAST, DAST, SCA, and CI/CD-integrated security tooling
