Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting secure application development, the full-time Associate Application Security Engineer will assist with secure design reviews, monitor security findings, and collaborate with feature teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with secure design and implementation reviews for web applications, APIs, and backend services
• Monitor, triage, and help remediate findings from security tooling
• Collaborate with feature teams to prioritize fixes and track closure of vulnerabilities

Required qualifications

• Experience securing web applications and APIs with knowledge of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
• Hands-on experience with application security tooling (e.g., SAST, DAST)
• Ability to communicate complex security issues to technical and non-technical audiences
• Exposure to secure SDLC practices such as threat modeling and vulnerability management
• Track record of delivering high-quality security outcomes in collaboration with teams
