Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance security practices within the software development lifecycle, the full-time remote Application Security Engineer will conduct threat modeling, perform code reviews, and implement security tools while collaborating with engineering teams to build secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for applications and services
• Perform manual code reviews and partner with engineering teams on hardening components
• Drive vulnerability management workflows and implement runtime protections

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Five or more years of application security or security engineering experience
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
• Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and CI/CD-integrated security tooling
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for tooling and automation
