Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Security Engineer, Application Security, who will conduct comprehensive security assessments of client software focusing on low-level code analysis, develop custom security tools, and perform architecture reviews to identify vulnerabilities in complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive low-level code security assessments and develop mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities
• Design and implement custom security tools for automated vulnerability detection to enhance application security
• Perform detailed architecture reviews and threat modeling of software systems and cloud environments, providing remediation guidance

Required qualifications

• Direct experience conducting low-level code security assessments of complex software
• Hands-on experience performing manual code reviews to identify vulnerabilities
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools and knowledge of their limitations
• Proficiency in programming across multiple languages such as Rust, Golang, or Python for security analysis and tool development
• Experience performing architecture reviews and threat modeling of software systems and cloud environments
