Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Curating and managing incoming security vulnerability submissions, the full-time remote Application Security Engineer will validate, triage, and communicate with clients regarding security issues while gaining exposure to a variety of security testing methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing triage and validation of security vulnerability submissions for managed programs
• Communicate directly with clients and researchers to gather additional information as needed
• Handle incident response by escalating and reporting high-severity vulnerabilities to clients

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or previous security consulting experience
• Published work and demonstrated passion for security assessment research
• High proficiency with Burp Suite and experience with industry-standard tools like nmap and sqlmap
• Ability to execute individual projects while contributing to team goals
• Strong organizational and influencing skills
