Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Collaborating with development and management teams, the full-time remote Application Security Engineer will ensure the security of internally-used applications by providing guidance on security design, performing assessments, and building security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Secure Design team to align new environments/applications with compliance levels
• Perform application security assessments and interpret results to guide remediation efforts
• Research and define security benchmarks, guidelines, and processes for engineering teams

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related quantitative field
• Experience with web-based architectures and applications
• Familiarity with application security testing techniques and vulnerability management tooling
• US Citizenship required
