Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

As a remote Application Security Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of software from development through deployment, building a vulnerability management program, and integrating secure coding practices into engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement comprehensive security solutions, including firewalls and cloud security controls
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security into CI/CD pipelines for automated and secure deployments
• Conduct regular security assessments and lead initiatives to enhance the organization's security posture

Required qualifications

• Strong background in software development with proficiency in reading and writing code
• Experience in vulnerability management and conducting security assessments
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and cloud security controls
• Familiarity with incident response and security incident management
• Ability to mentor engineering teams on security best practices
