Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Application Security Engineer will triage and prioritize security vulnerabilities, collaborate with engineering teams to drive remediation efforts, and develop security tooling to enhance vulnerability management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Triage, validate, and prioritize security vulnerabilities from various sources, including manual reviews and automated tools
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide guidance on secure implementation and ensure timely closure of security findings
• Develop and manage security tooling and workflows to improve security coverage and reduce manual efforts in vulnerability management

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application security engineering
• Experience with vulnerability and bug bounty reports, including triaging and validating security vulnerabilities
• Strong understanding of common application security vulnerabilities, including OWASP Top 10
• Familiarity with security tooling such as SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management platforms
• Experience working with cloud-native architectures and public cloud environments, preferably AWS
