Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
Securing AI-powered systems in a remote capacity, the full-time Application Security Engineer II will integrate security into the software development lifecycle, conduct security reviews, and coach engineering teams on secure coding practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews with engineering teams, focusing on AI-powered features
- Architect and maintain security tooling and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to enhance secure development
- Serve as a technical contributor during security incidents, analyzing application-level behavior and improving response processes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in application security engineering, preferably in AWS or similar cloud-native environments
- Experience securing AI/ML-powered systems and understanding risks related to prompt injection and model supply chains
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Expertise in web application security, including OWASP Top 10 and secure API design
- Hands-on experience with threat modeling and conducting security architecture reviews
