Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Application Security Engineer II will manage the triage and validation of security vulnerability submissions for major bug bounty programs while collaborating with clients and researchers to ensure accuracy and severity assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and validate incoming security vulnerability submissions for accuracy and severity
• Communicate with clients and researchers to gather additional information as needed
• Handle incident response by escalating and communicating high-severity bugs to clients

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or prior security consulting experience
• Demonstrated passion for security assessment research through published work
• High proficiency with Burp Suite and experience with industry-standard tools such as nmap and sqlmap
• Ability to execute individual projects while contributing to team goals
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
