Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a client's vulnerability remediation initiative, the remote Application Security Remediation Engineer will analyze and resolve code-level vulnerabilities across multiple application platforms, upgrade dependencies, and implement sustainable remediation patterns on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze and remediate application-level vulnerabilities identified by Wiz
- Resolve code vulnerabilities within .NET, Java, PHP, Go, and Node.js applications
- Upgrade vulnerable libraries, frameworks, and third-party dependencies while ensuring compatibility and stability
Required qualifications:
- Strong software engineering experience in .NET/C#, Java, Go, PHP, or Node.js
- Experience remediating application vulnerabilities and applying secure coding practices
- Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and software supply-chain security
- Experience with Docker and container image remediation
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and secure software development lifecycle practices
