Application Security Trainer
Job Summary
To support a leading financial institution, the part-time Application Security Trainer will deliver training and enablement sessions to development teams, focusing on secure coding practices and application security concepts, while working remotely within designated regions.
Key responsibilities
- Advise development teams on interpreting and remediating application security findings from various scanning methodologies
- Deliver targeted training and create self-service documentation to help developers understand and fix common vulnerabilities
- Partner with security and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and track remediation progress based on risk
Required qualifications
- Hands-on programming experience with Java and Python, with knowledge of JavaScript or C# being a plus
- In-depth understanding of application security concepts, including OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
- Familiarity with application security scanning methodologies such as SAST and SCA
- Proven ability to create technical documentation and deliver training content effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to developers
