Job Summary
Serving as a senior technical authority, the full-time remote Application Software Engineer will shape the architecture and strategy of mission-critical operator software across multiple UAS product lines, mentor engineers, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Define enterprise-wide application software architecture for multiple UAS platforms, ensuring modularity and scalability
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives involving avionics, autonomy, and operator experience teams
- Direct system design choices, including frameworks and data pipelines for operator-facing mission software
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 10-15 years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record in large-scale software systems
- Expert-level proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or other core languages used in aerospace application development
- Significant experience integrating with avionics, autonomy, GNC, or ground control systems
- Demonstrated ability to mentor senior-level engineers and lead complex cross-functional initiatives
