Application Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

Driving performance engineering engagements, the full-time remote Application Subject Matter Expert (SME) will evaluate application architecture, formulate optimization strategies, and serve as a technical liaison between delivery teams and stakeholders in the healthcare IT domain.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate BCBSA application topology and identify performance bottlenecks
• Define the performance engineering roadmap, including workload modeling and stress testing strategies
• Lead triage sessions to diagnose code-level inefficiencies and establish performance governance

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in performance engineering, specifically in healthcare IT or BCBSA ecosystems
• Expertise in APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic
• Proficiency with load generation tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad
• Deep understanding of cloud architectures (AWS/Azure) and microservices
• Knowledge of complex relational and NoSQL databases
