Job Summary

Providing Tier 2 support for applications, the contract Application Support Engineer will work remotely for one year, focusing on troubleshooting, maintaining application reliability, and leading improvement projects.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2 support for applications and escalate issues to Tier 3 as necessary
  • Identify root causes of application problems and lead initiatives to enhance reliability and performance
  • Install, configure, and maintain applications while ensuring consistency across environments
Required qualifications
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows stack technologies, including IIS, .Net, and SQL Server
  • Proficient in MS Transact-SQL and experienced with Azure DevOps and PowerShell
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ITIL Change Management Process
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Solarwinds and knowledge of TCP/IP-based services
