Applied AI and NLP Engineer
Job Summary
As the first Applied AI and NLP Engineer, the full-time position will focus on building intelligence for a governed data platform, developing conversational analytics, and transforming legal documents into structured data while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Build systems that translate natural language questions into analytical workflows over structured legal data
- Design AI pipelines to convert complex legal documents into machine-understandable data
- Optimize AI workflows for quality, latency, scalability, and cost across the platform
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with applied AI, NLP, or ML features in production
- Practical experience with LLMs, including prompting and retrieval-augmented generation
- Experience with information extraction, document parsing, and classification
- Solid SQL skills and understanding of structured data and semantic layers
- Proficiency in Python and one of Go, .NET, or Node.js
