Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the skill and concept graph, the full-time Applied AI Engineer will design, build, and maintain systems that infer learner skill levels and provide personalized recommendations, collaborating closely with frontend engineers to ensure AI-driven features are reliable and production-ready.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a skill and concept graph mapping relationships between skills, roles, and learning content
• Develop machine learning models to infer learner skill levels from various data sources
• Build recommendation systems that suggest learning paths and generate content dynamically

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning or data science, particularly with recommendation systems
• Hands-on experience with knowledge graphs, graph databases, or ontology design
• Experience with LLM APIs and prompt engineering for generative features
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with production-grade application architecture
• Familiarity with modern AI stacks, including model evaluation and context engineering
