Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the quality and effectiveness of AI systems, the full-time remote Applied AI Engineer will conduct rigorous research, optimize retrieval strategies, and build evaluation frameworks to enhance compliance automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evaluate information access and reasoning strategies across various AI models and workflows
• Prototype GenAI workflows for compliance-related tasks and run experiments to validate hypotheses
• Build and maintain evaluation frameworks, including automated quality metrics and regression detection systems

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in applied research, data science, or ML, focusing on NLP or information retrieval
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with production AI/ML systems
• Strong foundation in information retrieval techniques and RAG systems
• Proficiency in evaluation methodologies and metrics design
• Strong Python skills and experience with notebook-driven research workflows
