Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and building agents and AI-native interactions for a complex ERP system, the full-time Applied AI Engineer will create tools that enhance user experience and streamline workflows in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop agents with authority over business processes like orders, inventory, and financials
• Build typed, intent-routed tools on MCP servers, addressing scale and performance challenges
• Create a composable, AI-first UI and establish evaluation metrics to measure agent effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production, including agents and prompt engineering
• Strong engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or similar languages
• In-depth understanding of agent design principles and evaluation methods
• Curiosity about transforming complex systems into user-friendly interfaces
• Experience in rapid iteration and experimentation with AI technologies
