Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

To build internal agentic tooling focused on support and go-to-market operations, the full-time Applied AI Engineer will develop end-to-end workflows on OpenRouter, integrating systems and ensuring reliability while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build internal workflows that automate support and go-to-market operations from prototype to production
• Integrate and replace existing tools, ensuring reliability and monitoring of the systems developed
• Collaborate with support, GTM, and engineering teams to identify and automate high-leverage workflows

Required qualifications

• Strong conviction in building internal tools over purchasing external solutions
• Experience in developing internally-built tooling with a focus on reliability and edge cases
• Domain fluency in support or go-to-market operations, with hands-on experience in relevant workflows
• Deep understanding of system architecture with a backend orientation
• Ability to quantitatively measure the impact of automation efforts
