Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Building and operating LLM-powered internal solutions and customer-facing AI features, the full-time Applied AI Engineer will drive technical decisions, manage production systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain LLM-powered tools, automations, and customer-facing features end-to-end
• Oversee production systems, including monitoring, reliability improvements, and incident response
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and advocate for their adoption when justified

Required qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in production systems; Python required
• Solid experience in LLM application development, including context design and orchestration
• Hands-on experience with LLM evaluations and building backend services/APIs in production
• Experience designing multi-service architectures and operating production databases
• Familiarity with containerized workloads and balancing output quality, latency, and cost in AI systems
