Applied AI Research Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Applied AI Research Scientist, the full-time remote position will focus on developing state-of-the-art fraud detection solutions using deep learning and foundation models, while managing experiments and model performance evaluations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and scope opportunities for foundation model research and development, designing and executing rigorous experiments
• Own the evaluation bar for foundation model performance, including benchmarks and monitoring for drift and degradation
• Collaborate with engineering and client-facing teams to deploy models and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in applied machine learning or ML engineering, including work with foundation models
• Hands-on experience with self-supervised pre-training, fine-tuning, and model adaptation
• Production experience in model serving, versioning, and monitoring
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience handling large datasets
• Ability to manage and drive ambiguous applied research projects with effective communication across teams
