Applied AI Scientist

Job Summary

Designing and developing AI-driven applications, the full-time Applied AI Scientist will transform large-scale geospatial data into actionable insights and predictive intelligence while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications that analyze and generate insights from large geospatial datasets
• Build and operate end-to-end AI/ML pipelines, including data ingestion, training, and production inference
• Collaborate with domain experts and product teams to translate complex Earth intelligence challenges into deployable AI solutions

Required qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end ML pipelines and deep learning models, including vision-language models and multimodal learning
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Experience deploying models into production using modern cloud infrastructure and containerized systems
