Applied Data Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking an Applied Data Scientist with over 3 years of experience, the full-time remote position will focus on building and maintaining models for real-time scoring and automated decision-making in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain models that evaluate inbound requests, scoring quality and flagging risks for automated triage
• Translate business rules into machine-executable logic to automate decision pathways and enhance operational efficiency
• Own the full deployment lifecycle of models, ensuring performance monitoring and version control in production systems

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a data scientist or ML engineer with production model deployments
• Strong Python skills with experience in production-grade coding practices and ML frameworks
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining reliable data pipelines for production models
• Familiarity with model deployment patterns, including REST APIs and cloud services
• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation from cloud warehouses
